QMBPlus

jcalonso, thanks for the reply. I do have Russian for the red. Should I make sure that I have Germany for the blue? Thanks.

Edited to say, duh, vpmedia already said to do that. I shuld double check that again.

That must be the problem! I no longer have a choice of "German Army" I only have "Allemagne - I've looked through the whole list and no long have the old German Army selection. This must be because I installed Gaston's mod... Now how to I fix this? Anyone know? Thanks!

Now I'm getting ticked off. I don't know how to get rid of the Fernch naming in the FMB. Anyone know which files I need to replace and maybe want to give me theirs? I don't know If I'll still have the English ones as his mod overwrites some files... why I've got the French ones I'll never know...

Sorry Avatar, I can't help you with the change of names from french to english. But it seems to me that's the problem you're having.

JC

Thanks JC, I think that's a big part of it, too. So I bit he bullet and did a re-install and now have got the Sinai and vol_Italy Africa Greece maps up and running. So far everything works but the Malta map. Getting that Data File Corrupt message again on this one. But it's no real biggie if I can't get it fixed with that gorgeous Italy Greece Africa map! Thanks again for your replies mate!

QMB Plus is really a "plus" thanks...

Couple things that always bothered me about QMB:

1. Any way to default to your last selections?
2. If you choose Allies, the top section has ONLY the allied planes, and Hostile has only the axis ones? (and visa-versa) - Much faster to get through the plane list that way.

Thanks....

spinnetti has a nice idea but, I dare to improve it (just the idea Sad)

How about two separate side by side aicraft lists. One Allied one Axis... once you select a plane from one the other is inactive. I find annoying the fact that you need to scroll a lot just to take... a Zero... a6mx.

is it doable?

I'd be ok with either idea, but with mine you don't need any more space on the screen - no screen mods required, only a little code behind selecting the axis or allies button. If I knew where to start looking at the code (never tried), I'd do it; my guess is that would be a pretty easy mod if you know Java (I have a team of those guys at work Wink. Pull the button object, check axis or allies then build the table for the A/C popdown based on the selection.

Help please.

I had QMB working great in 4.08 and loved it.
Tried QMB+ in 4.09 and keeps filing to load and gives me the message "Target not found". Any thoughts or help greatly appreciated.

Have also looked for and not found the the file to make the gr_ru. change. Could this be the problem?
Where exactly is it?

Thanks
Neal

OK, first , if that is not a typo, you are looking for gui_ru file to add the changes to.

This gui_ru file should be in your main game folder inside the Flies folders /i18n folder

So, Program Files/Ubisoft/IL2 Sturmovik 1946/Files/i18n/gui

If you do not have a Files folder in your main game directory, look in the MODS/STD/i18n file for gui_ru.

Now the "Target Not Found" message means there is no mission in the Quick Folder for the map and mission type you have selected.

In your main game folder open the MODS floder, then Open the QMBPlus folder and see if there is a Missions folder inside it. Open Missions folder and there should be a Quick folder inside it.
This Quick folder contains the mis. files that need to be in the main game/Missions/Quick folder.
If you have a Quick folder put the mis. files into it.
If you do not have a Quick folder, copy or drag the Quick folder from the QMBPlus/Missions folder.

Good Luck

In the 'Quick' Mission Folder m8 which is either in your norm Mission Folder or Files/Mission or both.......but of course you need to download it (Link on 1st page) which I'm sure you've downloaded already Smile

The missions that you fly within QMB+, many of the maps you will download don't come with any flyable missions so you will need to make some and put them in the Quick folder within the QMB+ folder.
