hello-

in the "mod install process for beginers", step number one is to download and run the 4.09 mod patch. I currently have 4.08m installed. When i try to run it, i get "NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction". Do i have to install 4.09b before the 4.09 mod patch?

i'm running vista, btw

you don't need 4.09 patch .... just 4.09b1m

i've never installed official 4.09beta .... went straight to 4.09b1m , and have no problems at all

thanks for the help- i've got that worked out.

But there is another problem... how do i get bessarabia and slovakia to show back up in the game? I keep hearing about a filelist.txt, but can't find it anywhere. Both those maps went away when i installed the mod activator.

I added the AAA map pack, and then bessarabia and slovakia were in the menu.. but when i tried to load them, it said "section [MAP2D] not found in 'maps/Bessarabia/load.ini"

.... make sure you are loading them under 4.09b1m version , also check for double static.ini file ( new objects..)
