...if i remember it correctly Jolly have asked for such map half a year ago ....

Personally , i see a big problem in lacking of proper objects for representing major USA cities .... ( hopefully importing new objects will pass testing phase soon so ...)

Anyway , as i will get flat rate DSL this month ( hopefully ... no more 56k ) so getting SRTM data won't be a problem anymore i could give it a try . In the meantime if anyone is willing to start with it i can offer help and advice if needed .

So ... which area are we talking about ?

cheers

I have to smile that you put a small disclaimer at the end of your post.. Smile

But I find it sad that you feel the need to put it there.. Cry

Political correctness yet again in case anyone is offended... lol!

Anyone with more than three braincells would know that you are just having a laugh mate..

Alright.. Alright, put the gun down!..

Such a map sounds like a great idea. It would be a wonderful map to use all those end-of-war, hi-tech German planes on, like Me-163, Lerche and so on ...

Sticking to actual history is one option, but playing around with fictitious scenarios and 'what if?' situations would also be very nice.

I've always been intrigued with the idea of the Germans getting a foothold in South America (Argentina perhaps) and inviting the Japanese in to help destroy the Panama Canal from the air. German bombers and Japanese fighters to fly long range escort. If we only had a G/H model P-38 to go a long with it.

I've been thinking, about Flight 19 and recreating it, if we had the correct maps.
