I built an 48" R/C version... originally I thought it was just two mustangs too, but when I was done, I had hardly any original mustang parts used...

No, thats not accurate according to my sources. Look closely between the two at both the leading and trailing edge of the canopy relative to the wing. Stuff is different all over. I have scale drawings of both the F82/P82 and mustang, and took a bunch of pictures at the WPAFB museum too... its amazing how different the aircraft are. They are only superficially similar.

For every one else i havent been working on this project. I have kinda quit doing this, and playing all together. I wouldent expect to see the plane any time soon.

Well i decided to work on the plane again... and so far a good freind of mine has helped me out. See what we have dug up so far.





All we need to really worry about now is the gear, outer wings and a few other things.
