Landscape and atmospherics look very, very nice.

Still not seeing any self-shadowing, per-pixel spec or bump mapping on the aircraft.

C'mon, Oleg, you can't have aircraft models built with overblown 2004-era tech and methods flying around in a DX11-era sim and landscape. Turn the crank some on those SM3.0 / SM4.0 shaders and get those aircraft interacting with the light correctly. Two years from now there won't BE a performance hit, so put that excuse away and make it LOOK RIGHT.

Phfft!

Again, more supposed screen shots as usual. Not one video showing that these are ACTUALLY in game shots.
Still looks like Il-2 with Photo Shop magic to me.

As I've said before, I'll believe it's a real game when I see it.

Nothing new, when do they stop posting these? Same things all over again. Spit, DO-17 and He-111. Flames. Smoke. Spit cockpit. What is the idea of those? Why do they make "Updates" with nothing new?

Most of the screenies look like an improved version of IL2 but not revolutionary. Just like every week's update.
I wonder how long it will take before we see something really jaw dropping.
Two weeks?

Self shadowing and bump mapping have been visible in the screenshots for ages, they just aren't overblown effects like in Wings of Prey.

Give it a rest.

The Spitfire video showed comparable graphics to the screenshots, and considering how old that video is its to be expected that graphics will look a bit better now that DX11, antialiasing, etc have been turned on.

Some people will never be satisfied due to impatience, be patient man and it will all come along nicely.
You obviously have no idea how much hard work goes into this...
I appreciate the update, Thx

It's not about being patient. After 4 yrs of delays, hype and "Pics", I think we all have the patience of a rock.
It's about showing viable proof that they haven't just taken their investors money and only put out 1 video and a few screen shots. All of which
about 85% of the users here could have put together with a good photo and video editing program.
This "simulation" is supposedly only, at max, 4 months away and yet there isn't one real video of anything (except the one from way back when).
Show me a game that had a release date only a couple of months away that didn't have a working Beta, let alone an Alpha, and I'll show you
a piece of vapor ware or another delay. Even Rise of Flight was being reviewed about 6 mos before it's release.

Heck, Jane's (Electronic Arts) even had an Alpha version of A-10 well over a year before it's release and it was cancelled!

I really hope I'm wrong and the game is well on it's way to being released, but If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and smells like a duck, then it's a duck.

It's a Hurri pit, not a spit, which is nice to see Wink
