Hi i joined today and downloaded mods but cannot figure out how to fly them. i am terrible with computers but love il-2 1946 and want to fly mods. Please help Thanks

To fly the mods you first have to add them to the game, that post shows you how.

If you have questions as you go about adding the mods, PM me or ask in that thread.

does your il-2 run fast? mine is slow. any suggestions to make it run faster? do the downloaded aircraft automatically show up on quick or full mission builder? thanks

something very strange happened. i just tried il-2 1946 and the language changed from english to russian. also when i click on any of the game options the game shuts off totally. i downloaded everything on the link you gave me and nothing more, so im not sure what happened. Thanks

thanks so much. so after i download everything on the install guide and open il2, the mod planes (b17,b24,b29,etc) will be flyable?

Yes, as long as you follow the guide and install everything properly, you will have new flyables, the B17s, etc.

Some will be added when you install the soundmod and others will be added in the step referenced below.:
SOME MORE AI PLANES MADE FLYABLE:

7A: Go here (The link is inoperative) and scroll down to this: Download > AAA_MOD_PACK_v2_6.exe and install it
7B: Run the game and open Quick Mission Builder and scroll the plane list, you should find all the new planes in the post.

There will be other brand new planes added in later steps.

thanks so much i tried il2 after step 4b and all the new planes were in their slots. it said planes such as the he-111 zwilling and b-24 had no cockpit, but i have not finished all downloads. thank you for all the help youve given me. i appreciate it
