[F22-Raptor-2006]

A P51D Skin I made a long time ago with a bit of help from Hawk to line up the Logo.

This is a P51D Air Racing Skin, the plane belonged to Bob Hoover and I believe it has now been replaced with another P51 as the Pace Plane, due to some crashes and the P51 was getting too slow.

I made this a long time ago so there may be some slight problems with panels and stuff.

Bob didn't race "Ole Yeller", rather he was pace plane and safety pilot. His airshow performances in the 51, or anything else for that matter, were truly something to behold.

Good job on the skin. A nice tribute to a "pilot's pilot". 8)

I was very lucky to have spent a couple of years doing airshows in the seventies, Bob Hoover's performances were legendary.

He did things with a P-51 that I've never seen recreated or that anyone would think was possible, gear down loops and the whole nine yards.
