Well, I'm just an amatuer modder want to be..

My goal was to create gunsmoke for the allied fighters; I have not tested it with all the planes in the game. I did tweak the smoke for the cannons a little, but I have not spent near as much time on the cannon smoke as the mg smoke. I'm not even sure what the cannon smoke needs to look like. If there is a consensus as to how the cannon smoke needs to be changed, I can tweak it. It can be lightened, reduced in size, etc.

Well thank you, I'm really glad you like it. It was a relatively siimple thing to change the effect from a casing to a smoke particle. I'm new to modding and not very experienced so I'm not sure if you can daisy chain the triggers using .eff files (or anything else for that matter). My guess is that an additional trigger would have to be set up some how, which I'm not sure if this is possible. I know it can't affect the weapons files to be legit. If someone who is more experienced knows, feel free to chime in.

I like it better than the casings also; I never really noticed the casings unless I was in external view anyway. I even like it when I look back and see the smoke coming off a bandit shooting at me

hi Maven, thanks for replying. No , not at all! I think the smoke is way more realistic than than muzzleflash in smaller calibre weapons. From most war eara footage I remember smoke puffs from the muzzles, and flash from cannons.
Mind you im not bitching, , love it as it is.
