Had the usual CTD at 70% today (this is getting real regular guys?) and traced it to CHAPS new Chief.ini ? I had to reinstate my chief.ini folder into IL2/MODS/chief.ini/com/maddox/il2/objects... to get the game to load past 70%.

I now have the original chief.ini in a seperate folder in IL2/MODS/chief.ini... and CHAPS new chief.ini in IL2/MODS/STD/COM/MADDOX/IL2/objects... on running them thru WinMerge there are loads of empty entries in the original and I dont know which new entries are causing the loading issue?

I have installed CHAPS new tanks, shipmod and nearly every MOD to boot BTW and I take it the first chief.ini loaded (IL2/MODS/chief.ini..) is used instead of CHAPS new one? or do they both get 'seen' by the game?

Any ideas?

nope, wrapper loads every file only once (alphabetically ).... first one it can find , and disregards the rest

agreed location for chief.ini is:

\MODS\STD\com\maddox\il2\objects\

so that file should be the only one .
