maybe it's not the oil cooler, but you know, that air intake under the chin of the Spit. Early Spit IXs had small ones like the MkVbs. the In game Spit IXs are equipped with the later, bigger versions. Can anyone make a mod to replace it with the small ones please? Just like the rudder-replacer mod. It's not an aircraft mod, no new slots needed, it's just cosmetics.

this was also the first time I flew with my own skin. but I think it can't be that, can it? previously I installed the gyro gunsight, but the mirror was ok. I think it was the carburator intake mod which screwed it up. please help me!

Did you uninstall the mod to see if that's what was causing the problem? It looks like you have a transparent stripe across the forward cowling too.

I'll try it tonight and see what I get.

Yes, I've checked it, and checked if it's the combo with another mod, but no joy. It is definetly this mod which causes this problem. and also, there's a hole on the nose (also visible on my first shot). I'd be so happy if someone could fix it...

I think U're right. It's not the oil cooler, cause that one was positioned under the left wing (as I recall it).
The oil cooler on earlier versions was round in shape and asymmetric positioned in comparison to the square intake under the right wing. Later on, the oil cooler were identical in shape and size with the intake under the right wing - correct me, if I'm wrong...

and look...the mod replaced the external mirror by a square one, while the cockpit view mirror stayed the same (round)

I can't find the download thread so I ask here: as far as I remember, a new aircraft is being worked on based on this mod, the IXb, with not only the new look, but a new FM, with correct engine, etc...
Is this correct? Then, I would like to say that this cosmetics mod has a conflicts with bombs and belly tanks. Good luck with the developpement of the new aircraft slot! :wink:
