[Download] Altered Campaigns, using Modded Planes
#1

I've altered two campaigns, made by different authors, to make use of the modded planes in-game. This really started out as an experiment for me, because I've never used the FMB.

All credit goes to original authors.

Murmansk to Morocco by 1.JaVA_Sjonnie (modded v1, download available)

*Requirements: Basic AI aircraft flyable from basic mod installation, and the new Bf-110 G-4 'Wilde Sau (The link is inoperative)

This a 110 campaign originally found here. There are 61 missions in total that go from 1939 to 1945 while flying the 110 during its long service. At the time the author made this only the Bf-110 G-2 was flyable, but with addition of mods the C-4, C-4/B, and the new G-4 are made available. I have altered the Poland, France, Battle of Britain, and Barbarossa sections to utilize the C-4 and C-4/B. Mid-campaign uses the G-2, while at the very end, you'll be flying the G-4 in the last months and days of the war.

EDIT

The original author is currently making an re-make of this campaign. For those that want to download my edits, you can, but the author will have a much more substantially revised version available in the future.

Download link for campaign:

1. To install, copy the Missions folder within the zip file into your main IL-2 1946 directory. The campaign will be placed in the correct folder (Missions/Campaign/DE).

Download the skins to go along with this campaign by clicking here (Make sure to copy the 110 G-2 skins also into a new folder named "BF-110-G4").

Bloody Biscay by Ezzie (modded v1, download available)

*Requirements: You must have the new aircraft Me-410 (The link is inoperative) installed. That is all.

Another 110 campaign that can originally be found here that uses quite a lot of 'suspension of disbelief,' in order to simulate the activities of the maritime aircraft in the Bay of Biscay. In the campaign, you will encounter quite a lot of 2 engined aircraft as you protect the Kriegsmarine. The Crimea map is used to represent the Bay of Biscay and the 110 is used in place of a Ju-88 C-6 (which is not yet modded into the game). I have altered the V/KG40 campaign to use the new aircraft Me-410 (version A) to better simulate the Ju-88 C-6.

When an actual Bay of Biscay map becomes available and possibly a Ju-88 C-6, I intend to make a campaign like this one.

1. To install, drag/drop the Missions and PaintSchemes folders into your main IL-2 1946 directory. All files will be installed to the correct places. The zip file includes an extras folder with pilot skins that the original author had included with their campaign.

Are these basically self installs? What do I need to have downloaded in Mods to have these function& do Maps have to be downloaded & put to be in a certain place? Thanks! Big Grin

The media fire link for Murmansk to Morocco is a zip folder containing a "Missions" folder. Just copy it to your main IL-2 1946 folder. This will install the campaign mission files that I altered (into the correct folders), to make use of the new Bf-110's that are now flyable (obviously you need the basic mod installation). The G-4 is separate, which links to another thread where you can download it and is required.

Optionally, although recommended, you can download the aircraft skinpack that the author released alongside the original campaign, which is also linked in the above post.

Where is the link for the Biscay campaign? M2M was a great campaign, I look forward to trying it again with your mods.

I have not uploaded the modded Biscay campaign yet, but I will soon.

Thank you very much for your work on M2M. Bf-110 is my favourite non-soviet airplane and I had this capmaign for some time but I hadn't started it until I found this alteration. Thank you once again!

I finally have the *Modded* Bloody Biscay up for download. It took me forever to figure out how to make an intro track!

Hi Luke; I have a question if I may: how do you move the objects?
I have many campaigns I would like to port to a different map, but moving every object and waypoint by hand for over 50 missions... Sad
I also found that many times waypoints and objects are outside the map if I change the map, and therefore not accessible.. Did you find a solution for that?

I'm not actually sure how to do that or if it is possible to move objects/waypoints to different maps.

I've been trying the new planes and loaded the updated Murmansk to Morrocco campaign using soundmod 9.0 and the game out to 4.09b1. !st mission loads and plays ok, but fails to load the 2nd mission. Any ideas?

Did you try to restart the game and try again? I had a similar problem with another campaign, so I just restarted the game and it worked well afterwards..

Nope. Campaign still stalled on mission 2 with no mission screen. When I attempt to load, I get multiple lines of my pilot's name filling the screen and have to close out the game. Only happens with this campaign. I have the original M2M and it plays just fine.

Well, I have no idea how this problem is occurring for you. I have not changed the structure of the missions or maps themselves (no added objects, waypoints, objectives etc.). Only the plane you fly in has been changed. If the first mission works for you, then you obviously have the mod installed if you are able to fly the C-4/B.

I have been able to load the missions on 4.08 and 4.09b1 modded.
