Well, the image I was looking at for a background is readily identifiable as Western front and that particular skin is Eastern front. Don't worry though, I'll find a good Eastern front background image for it and see if I can make something half way decent.

Come to think of it, there's one skin I'm ALWYS looking for; nice ETO P-38 skins! A skinner once told me that he didn't like making those because the 38 is a boring plane to skin. You have any ETO 38 skins that you've made :?:

Hey FB, sorry mate, never actually made a releasable skin for the p38, just made a few testers after going to great lengths to make a template for it, it has perhaps the most realistic metal Ive done to date too, better than the P51s you recently posted, just never got round to using it, it took forever to make, guess I'd had enough of it by the time I finished it ....Doh!


Perhaps have a look at doin a couple with it, shame to not let the lil beastie see the light of Simulated Day Either that or I'll release the template & someone else can do some...hehe!

See, told 'ya good 38 skins were hard to find, especially for the ETO :wink:

I see that "built in" shadow under the wing! Was one under the horizontal stab on the near 51 in the last shot I made but it was at the wrong angle for the shot, lol! Pretty easy to change though if your're making a composite. I don't know if the sim came out before there was self-shadowing or if they just left it out. :?:

Now, if you could just add some built in nekked wimmins... :twisted:

Ive started on the P38 again, lil tidy & sweep out, merge some layers, theres near a 1000 name some of them being as I never name them, dont need to really, I know where everything is, just if I upload it how I use it, its would prolly give folk a migrain & worse case scenario wouuld perhaps be a frontal lobe failure...oooeerrr!

Sometimes I forget what is on which layer when doing composites. Then it's "Move", "Undo"... lol! Which layer is the prop for that one on :?: :lol: Linking some stuff together, like the plane and it's prop, does help :!: :lol:
