What the... :? where did all that come from, it was just an idea. Sorry if I gave the idea that "I WANT IT NOW" or as Bearcat put it "gimmegimmegimmecanwehave" ( probably not helpful post but lmao any way :lol: ).

I was just putting this idea out there, if some ones willing to tell me how to decompile/recompile *.class files then I'll be more then happy to give it a bash Smile

No, That was my fault Madcat. I gave that impression as I use the mini-map a lot. There is a lot I'm ignorant about in the modding world.

My apologies.

Can I ask if its possible to re-enable CH Product Mouse Utility in thier Control Manager Software so I can at least position my mouse over the minimap using:

SCREENX = 1450;
SCREENY = 100;

Once moded with 6DOF, IL-2 disables this. The unmodded version with headtracking doesn't disable this.

It would be nice to have the mouse positioned over the minimap with the click of a button OR not even needing the mouse over the minimap to be able to zoom.

Not only is the CH Products mouse utility disabled, but the mouse pointer moves from the minimap upon close of the minimap. The unmodded version allows the mouse pointer to stay over the minimap when its closed.

Now this makes it hard to:

One: have to move the mouse over the minimap
Two: Zoom in at diff levels.

Just kindly asking if the mouse pointer over the minimap can be fixed then.

Bearcat Wrote:LMAO.... Hmmm... are you guys getting *Olegitis? :lol:

*Olegitis: A condition caused by a virus known as gimmegimmegimmecanwehave that originated in 2001 after a Russian flight sim developer named Oleg Maddox whom the condition is named after, unknowingly released the virus in his flight sim while attempting to provide unprecedented developer support to his rabid, almost fanatical flight sim customer base. The virus spread like wildfire among the 1C Maddox community immediately once exposed to IL2, devastating it's ranks. Around 2007 some unauthorized but brilliant flight simmers managed to crack parts of the genetic sequence of Oleg Maddox's IL2 flight sim allowing it to be openly modified. Unknowingly they also modified the gimmegimmegimmecanwehave virus as well and again the virus was released inadvertently on the public, this time in it's genetically altered far more virulent form in the mofdifications to the original flight sim that is just now beginnig to devastate the IL2 mod community as well. The condition effects flight sim users, developers and modders alike, however it's symptoms are manifested differently in each group.

Flight sum user symptoms: Very straight forward.. after exposure to the virus from an infected flight sim (In all bit .000265% of cases a 1C Maddox product) the users begin to experience thoughts that manifest themselves in terms of repeaated and very intense and persistent cries of "Gimmegimmegimmecanwehave... " leveled at game developers. These cries often seem totally logical to the users, however to the developers often it seems an almost impossible task because of their work load.

For developers and now modders the symptoms are almost identical.

Developer/modder symptoms: Also be advised that the original developers of the IL2 series are far beyond the earlier stages iof the condition. They are nowe in the "I wont say shite till I have something relatively substantial for these yahoos.." stage of the condition. Thye modders still have a ways to go before they reach that6 stage.. the modders are still in the "WTF man I am doing the best I can, get in line" stage.

In all stages from the developer/modder standpoint the condition manifests itself with slightly more detachment as the users, the real sufferers in this condition , make more and more intense and fervent demands. AT some point, the modders reach an epiphanous moment where they say.. "D@mn.. no wonder Oleg stopped coming around.. he was too busy doing this stuff... " as they hunch over their desks and continue making the mods to satisfy the insatiable demands that the virus brings forth from the users.

I agree Bearcat. It was a nice post. Im definitly in appreciation of all the hard work by the modders and mean no bad intentions.

Its also nice we have modders working for intrinsic value of thier work instead of always wanting a payout. A rare breed worthy of a lot praise.

I do have hand dissabilities that make it tough to constantly move the mouse whell and drag the cursor around, but Im sur with all the keyboarding the modders do, they have thier share of ulnar, median, and radial nerve entrapments.

Its without a doubt Zo has worked very hard and his work will not go unappreciated.

no can do , sorry ..... coffee and nicotine , that is about all that is left for me ... and IL2 (AAA) :wink:

You do know how unintentional statements can get easily misinterpreted so you must understand why i'm seeing all in red whenever i spot posts with "donations /paying" and "modders work" joined together .

There mustn't be any post that even slightly suggest that anybody (AAA staff+team ) earns any money from this .... its just too dangerous .

I know you understand this because you did jump on ffb ( or was it someone else) when mention donations to AAA over at the Ubizoo . Its just a job, and both of us want to do it the best we can .

Just to let yall know. Setting mouseuse=1 allows the cursor to stay put in the minimap area. Although I'll have to find a way to make the CH Prod screen command work, its a good compromise at this time and Im satisfied.

Im enjoying these mods and appreciate them and the hard work going into them. I can also see why discussing pay is dangerous as we get Freetrack for free also. I wont elaborate on that anymore; but I do understand you now Zo and the point you are making.

I would suggest locking this thread due to my ignorance and once again all here have my fullest apologies for not seeing the raminifications suggesting payments for modding.

Time for some more rich columbian JAVA myself.
