The AI in this game can be...VERY STUPID!
Here's me tale. Maybe you could tell me some of yours....
I was flying the B-29 in the luftwaffe. It was a quick mission, and I set up some out-of-date biplanes to come get us. Anyway, we were attacking and airbase in Smolensk, so wjile I'm up in the top gunner position fighting off those bloody bi-planes, we cop alot of flak. We're about to bail out, when an engine catches on fire.(I've set "Infinate Ammo." Anyway, the pilot begins to turn around, and jettisons his bombs. Unfortunatley, they don't stop falling...There is an infinate number of them. hock: hock:
So I'm sort of watching millions of bombs falling over the Russian countryside, when I decide to crash-land the bloody thing myself. I take-over, and land perfectly. We're sitting on the ground when, suddenly, and Russian biplane has followed us. Seeing my comrades shooting him, I decide to give it a shot, so I switch to gunner station. But our friendly AI pilot continues to make preparations for crash landing, so what does he do? He lets go our never-ending bombload right underneath us...And we're on the ground! The bombs blow the aircraft up, and the aftershock destroyes the little biplane guy! I mean, seriously! hock: :lol:
So that's three major acts of stupidity! :lol:
Any other stories of when AI goes wrong?

It looks like the AI-pilot has the same flying skill as I have (almost a copy) :oops: ....it's normal procedure when your plane is critically damaged see manual,

ENGINE CRITICALLY DAMAGED....WHAT TO DO.

An other example for stupid AI-piloting is an AI-pilot that fly the mistel, he always crash.

Same here I find planes diliberitly ram each other with some waypionts, so i have to spend a long time fixing them.

I've seen that a lot, too. AI pilots also crash while in the landing pattern often, and when taxying on the ground after landing (hitting parked airplanes).

I particularly hate it when sections of your flight - when you have command - act on their own and fly home and there is still work to be done.

hello, im not a modder and i don't no if im in right forum but
it would be grate if someone could make a mod so you can have infinate with ammo just on the gunns but not on the bombs, it would be nice when pratice!!!
