The MS 406 is a fun addition to the game, and after doing a 1942 campaign, I have now made another for this aircraft, set during the last stage of the Winter War.
France donated 30 MS 406's, and they started to arrive in February 1940. They were immediately thrown into the hectic action during the last month of the war. Some 14 kills were scored by Finnish pilots flying the MS 406, before the war ended on March 13 1940.

The Winter War 1939-40 is now often forgotten. The invading Soviet forces outnumbered the Finns 4 to 1 in men, 200 to 1 in tanks, and 30 to 1 in aircraft. But the Finns resisted the attack with unexpected success and for far longer than Stalin had expected. Finland held out until March 1940, and even though her territorial losses were great the Soviet Union suffered tremendous large losses, both in men and materiel, and in prestige. The fighting ability of the Red Army came to be questioned, a factor that encouraged Hitler to launch Operation Barbarossa.
