hey guys so i havnt fired up il2 in a month or so,

I went to join a server through hyperlobby today and once the connection is established and the music starts going i get this incredibly annoying 'crackling' sound that carries on the entire time i keep the game open. the normal sound effects still play and increasing and decreasing my volume does Not effect the crackling noise

Thing is this does Not happen if i open IL2 by itself (not through hyperlobby). any ideas on what could be wrong?

Hi, this might help.

in the last month i installed the windows service pack.

for some reason, this messed up my sounds. After trying lots of things it came down to reconfiguering my sound card settings. So, open your sound card settings & play around with that for a bit, hope it helps.
