Weathering Brushes in .abr
#1

I found a set of weathering brushes, but they are in .abr format. I know that is for Adobe Photoshop CS, but I would like to import them in good old simple and understandable PSP 7.

Is there any way of doing so by means of a third party software? I've tried 'abr view' but on my 64 bit system it won't run.

So I'm just wondering if anyone else has found a way of doing so. Or if they know of any PSP 7 compatible weathering brush sets.

Any other file sharing site to suggest?

I know Rapidshare but they now only give 10 downloads per file if you don't have a paying account. And I don't and I won't ...

So any good file sharing sites? I'll re-upload.

It's better to have a recommendation for a site instead of looking all over when you're in a hurry.

Anyway, thanks for the tip, looks like a good site. Here's a new download link:

And should anyone be able to or know how to convert them to Paint Shop Pro compatible brushes, it would be much appreciated.

this seems to work for me:-

extract the rar

copy abr files to ....adobe/presets/brushes/adobephotoshop only

then run ps and go to preset manager(edit menu drop down)

check brushes is selected and click load

navigate to the folder you placed abr files- if necessary

select one and click load.

brushes should appear at the bottom of the brush size drop down Big Grin

they look good, thanks for the link Big Grin

edit- doh!!!- read PSP-7 as PS 7 sorry for confusion

you will have to change the image size to 500 x 500 or smaller at step 7 before you export.

It does work, I have just done it!!!!
