Each time I try to unpack these files its telling me the files are corrupted!.. so no dice I'm afraid

Robber-Duck, I don't know if it is allowed to extract and use sounds from other games (Legal issue, Copyright, Intellectual Property and so on...).
I don't have any objections but your soundmod reminds me of another thread from a guy called Brennus who used BoB WoV sounds too and was kindly asked by the original creator to stop further development:

Robber-Duck , the in cockpit MG-151 doesnt work :? i cant hear anything when i fire these guns in cockpit view.
