BRIGHT German/Romanian Reticles anyone???
#1

I know there has been done for german reticles... but even so, its not all of them... and only on certain planes....

Is it possible someone could make bright versions of these reticles? or show me how to add the current ones to all german aircraft at least? :?

P.S. Has anyone done a bright version for the EZ 42??

I second this request.
I've been so impressed with the bright reticles that we have, all the default ones look just crappy in comparison.
I've had issues with the reticles in the past, but I'm sure there are those that know how the reticles file structure should look, and where conflicts might arise.
There were bright versions of the Russian planes available awhile back, but those links are dead and gone.
Anyways, maybe I can offder a deal.
I have Photoshop CS3 and bright plugin. I have tried to do the bright effect on some reticle files, but I'mm having problems with what I suspect is the file format. It needs to be converted to work with, but I can't seem to convert it back properly.
I'm going to start a new thread soon, posting some pics of the issues I'm having, but if anyone can help me on that - and maybe with the files (sourcing and structure), I'm quite prepared to try and do bright versions of EVERY reticle in the game. 8)
I mean, I spend so much time peering through the darn things, they might as well look good...

Hey this is good news bigbossmalone. I've been a big fan of bright reticles ever since I saw the first one on the Spitfire here way back when. Here is a link to just about everything I've done including Russian and Italian. The link still works, I just checked it.

Feel free to use/change/improve anything.

I'm looking forward to your thread and let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Good luck.

Oh yes, I didn't do the German reticles so I don't really know much about them other than you should be able to adapt the current one to most German planes, if you know the correct plane folder name, by creating a cockpit folder for them.

I have tried this and it doesn't work apperantly for the German reticles... I have no idea why... I am positive I am applying correct names... becuase I've been doing this with every other reticle I have...

AIRdomination,

This is the reticle mod I'm using for German planes. I believe some have been resized.

I may have copied some of the modified reticle mat & tga files directly to a few of the new cockpits too, I'll have to check on that.
