My first request is not that complicated. The P-51D was able to be fitted with two 100 gallon external tanks, as were the P-47D's. I think it would be a nice touch to make some if it's possible, or at least make the 50 gallon tanks look like them, for aesthetic appeal. My second request is a lot harder than the first. The Douglas AD-1 Skyraider. This bird had a career that ran from the 50's-70's and was a truly remarkable ground attack fighter. Originally it was designed for WWII, and was first flown on March 18, 1945. This aircraft was a remarkable contribution to history, and I feel that it should be modded. I second the first request... it would make them look like much more long range fighters... if its cosmetic... as you know no one is going to be changing weapons loadouts on current aircraft...

As for your second request...I'll have to give that a big NO. Why? Because this game is for the 30's and 40's, not the 50's and 60's...and let that be clear to everyone who asks for more "modern" planes. There is so much more that should be in this game from the current era it was made for rather than jumping ahead when its not even complete...And I'm pretty sure most others will agree with me on this.

AD-1 could pass, as a 1946 plane (first flight 3/45, operational delivery 12/46) and also for Korean War scenarios. Later versions like AD-5 are probably a bit too much out of scope for this game.

Infact, there are plans for the F-86, the MiG-15, and there was talk of the Panther at one stage. Not to mention the improved P/F-80 & Sea Fury and Neptune's... There is no reason why this (AD-1) couldn't be added as well. However, I agree with nothing POST Korea.

As for the missing WWII stuff.. stay tuned... there's more in the shop then is announced...

I agree that aircraft added should be no later than Korea and also that we should first get some major WWII planes up and flying before going to later planes. In all cases I second the 100 gallon tanks and the AD-1 (eventually).

HOWEVER AD-6 was a single seat assault aircraft variant of the Douglas AD-5. The Douglas AD-6 entered service in 1952.

Personally i think that il2 is fully a WWII sim and nothing more after the 45 date should be added. ESPECIALLY damnd jets.......
