Oh thank you Paulo and Holy , but my clip is only made with a sequence of screenshot and after I've added photoshop work to simulate the leaving fire :wink: .. after I've compiled with standard WMM from M$ xp.
Gent's I'm exited about how good are going all this improvement on Fire/smoke with the contribution of many good Guys like ThrdHeye, Fly!, Holy, Paulo and.. wish to not have forgotten anyone about. I would like to contribute more about this mod because firing and smoking planes are 70% of intention when I play every mission,..don't you? 8) ..

The simulator is in the first place, computer is only a tool, can be upgraded:

Sugestion Cheap and fast computer:

Intel e8600
GF8800GT512 g92
Corsair 4GB DDR 1066

And you will have 35/75fps (35) with heavy smoke.

i dont think its that cheap, get the E8400 instead, the difference is little, 9800GTX+ is another good choice

i just got a new monitor (Samsung SyncMaster T240, 24") and i am planning to get GTX280

doesn't matter how much upgrade you computer, this is an really old game engine with so much limitations, so this mods are great, but you some times have to pay the price, and performance is one of them, i have a 9800GTX+, i can play the latest tittles without any problem, but modded Il-2 is another story, due to it engine limitations.

I think there is one .tga missing , that's what happen when making multiple versions .
I must have forgot to put it there :oops:
Pile up of numbres , I will just focus on Intermittent version with new black smoke .
I will fix this download Intermittent fire version V1 as soon as possible .
I have to now leave for about 5 hours now and then will put a link for new download version V2 without this error .

it thinks it looks realistic for engine fire, but a fuel tank that go "on/off/on/off/on/off......" ???

But the new fire is cool

maybe the pauses between on/off are a little too long, so I cannot enjoy seeing them burning

For me the "largest" version dont work
got fire but no smoke


but the version "3rdeye_Original_Latest_SmokeFireContrail_Mod_but_with_ added_featured_IntermittentFire_Effect" works fine !!!!

There was fix for black smoke issue , I forgot to put one tga in to first mod , it is now OK .

it's pretty much impossible to describe each of those mods version in screenshots .
This is moving animated stuff .
Hopefully someone will make youtube video catching the real deal .
I tried youtube but it was like 350MB big :lol: and after upload it got rejected .
I don't know how to edit and compress video file to make it smaller size .

Let's wait , anyone ? I would love to place your youtube video in first post describing at least first three mods with some good visual action.

open up windows movie maker quickest way to make the file smaller you can customize the file size that way when you save a movie file unless someone else has a better solution
