I openned the properties file in the single mission folder with notepad, does anyone know how to restore the file back , I didnt edit it,but all the properties files changed the same way. Is there a way to change it back?

When you closed the file Windows may have added the extension '.txt' to the file name.
(example): Mission XXX.properties.txt.

If you edited the file did you "Save" or "Save As"?
If you used "Save As" it added the extension '.txt. to the file and the game cannot read it.
Always use "Save" ONLY.

If the '.txt' extension is there remove it and/or rename the file either ".mis" (for mission files) or ".properties" (for briefing files). The game should then recognize them.

Hope that helped.

when I open .mis or .propertie files for the first time I ,
right click then click "open with"

I then search for Notepad then check the tab allways use this program.
this will make notepad the default editor for you.

I do that and leave them like thatandthe game reads them fine with no problems.

Thanks for the information, the game works ,but the files dont look the same as the properties file, the one I openned with notepad, does anyone know how too restore the file, like when you click on a file it says window cant open this file, and it gives you your options like nodpad, when I openned that file, properties, all files marked properties opened, I didnt edit any files ,how can I get the files back to the orignal state , too look like the other files.

Sounds like you made some kind of 'global' choice in opening these files.
Often windows, by default, ticks the box "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file."
However if all your .properties files have the Notepad icon I can't see what harm there is in that. If in the future you wish to edit those files 99% of the work of getting into them has already been done.
Is there a particular reason you want them to revert back?

Thanks again , I will leave it that way, the reason why I wanted to change it back, I made a level bombing mission tutorial ,for one of my friends to practice on the game. If he copied the mission I am not sure if his properties files would change like mine or they wouldnt change at all since his computor didnt open them?

Unless he has asked Windows to open the .properties (and/or .mis files) with Notepad or another similar program, his files would look like yours used to. There should be no problem with the exchange of files. Files he sends to you will have the Notepad icon when you install them and files you send to him will show the default game icon when he installs them.

Either way the game will recognize them.
