Interested in Mods - Addons and Enjoyr questions...
#1

I am about to jump in to the Mod world for IL2 but I have a few questions.

1. I have a IL-2 Sturmovik 1946_409b1m install with all 3 (TLD,BOE,OST) paid DGen addons plus all of EnjoyR's patches and skins. It is all updated and running good. Can I install mods in to this install? I would make a copy first of course.

2. I also have older clean installs I've made copies of including a clean 4.08 and 4.09b1m. If i use one of these I will not have all 3 paid Dgen addons or Enjoyr's patches for them.

3. What is the best way to get it all? Smile 4.09b1m with all 3 paid addons plus all of Enjoyr's latest patches/skins and mod enabled?

Thanks for the help! I just want to try and get it right the first time around. Smile

enjoyr patch and Mods do not have conflicts and can be used in one install.

make sure to install the "carreer language fix" otherwise you might experience problems with the camapaign talking russian to you.

So could I just do the unified install 1.0 right over the top of my IL-2 Sturmovik 1946_409b1m install with (TLD,BOE,OST) paid DGen addons plus all of EnjoyR's patches and skins?

That would be the easiest for sure. Smile

Thanks for the help.

you must install that fix to avoid russian briefings in dgen campaign

english game reads for example the Dgen/campaignsDe1.dat file, modded version will read the campaignsDe1_ru.dat because only the russian exe file was "open" for modding

Since Enjoyr updates a lot of the DGEN files and the AAA language fix uses old files won't this not work? Don't we really need a fixed and updated Enjoyr language update for AAA? Or do I have to manually go and and rename all the files if I wanted the updated Enjoyr files?

Even doing this I still get this:

Quote:The German names in the roster and mission briefings are still getting Cyrillic special characters instead of German, but I don't know what file is doing the substitution. The names are correct in the Germans.dat and Germans_ru.dat files, and they show up spelled correctly in the Squadron.dat files in the campaign folders, so the switch is happening later.

Any fix? Thanks!
