Yeah, no problem. It's not perfect but it can be understood.

Your English is probably much better than if i would try your native language Tongue

Regarding Sturmbocks:

There were 3 versions:

R2 - substituting 2 wing 20mm cannons for 30mm, and with added armor around the cockpit - 256kg total (this includes the 138kg that all A8's carried as standard).
R7 - carrying standard armament (4x20mm, 2x13mm) but even more heavily armored - 337kg total armor; this version still carried the bomb rack and could also be used for ground support
R8 - same 337kg armor as R7 but with 30mm guns replacing 2 of the 20's like in R2; but it was too heavy so to save weight this version had the cowl machine guns removed.

Schematics of the added armor:

R2 only had this:

R8 also added this:

In this model you can clearly see the externally added armor plating around the cockpit:

Gotta love a flying tank. Please excuse the chat-style question, I'll make it quick. What did the pilots think of it? Too sluggish, or okay for the situation?
#36

The pilots like the plane, they are feel how the armor are defence the pilot. And if they can't shoot down the plane they must fly into the enemy bomber if they did'nt fly into the enemy plane they must go to court marital. But the defence fighters are can fast go help the attacked bomber it's like the butchering, shoot down very some Sturmbock's

They flew like a brick, with all that armor added, and had to be escorted by Bf-109's to drive away the escort fighters, but they were the right tool for the job. The heavy bombers these Sturmbocks were supposed to intercept weren't really known for their dogfighting abilities either, and yes the added protection was much appreciated by the pilots. The ramming attack - some units were doing it regularly (the reinforced wing was capable of slicing through a bombers tail without sustaining much damage itself) but as far as i know it wasn't really as widespread.

Blueprint for A8/R8[/img]
#40

Here, i'll fix the image for you Big Grin

The problem - this is not the R8 depicted, it has the cowl guns. So probably it's the R2 (or an R7 made from an R2 - there were such things too).

R7 was used to name all planes modified from existing ones by giving them the armor up to the R8 standard, most of R7's were modified from standard 190A8's (4x20mm, 2x13mm) but a few were modified from R2's and these actually kept the cowl guns.

Bloody good job on finding that blueprint, I am adding this blueprint to Fw 190A-8/R-2/7/8 list! This will definely help modders alot when modders start working on this aircraft someday.

as well as the list of many jap planes we are short of
i would dealry like to see A FRENCH DEWONTAIN if possible some time in the future
also on the japanese front the H8K in real life had 9 versions of the type 91 torpedo with warheads ranging from 100lbs to 2000lbs, the heavier the warhead the closer they had to get to use, however in the game we where given the smallest warhead, it would be nice to at least have the mid range one over the smallest one possible
it also had 5x20mmaa cannons and 5x7.12mmmg
we appear to have only one 20mm

this is not a gripe this is a request for any of you modeling gurus out there to address this in due course when you have time please as i know your all busy with the modelling thing

thx

It will be great help tomodders if you bring reference materials and sources for any aircraft you wish to request for. If you could find me these following sources below, I will be more than glad to add them to the list for you:

1) name of plane
2) information/history/data
2) blueprint
4) photo
5) video (optional)

Thank you for taking your time to read becuase I will need yoru help with these, so that way I can add your aircraft requests to the aircraft requests library.

Well, then i'll try my luck... a Fi-156 Storch with skis?

http://www.michael-reimer.com/CFS2/CFS2_...00x200.jpg

And perhaps a bomber version...they did exist and could (according to in-game info) carry up to 150 kgs of bombs. Unfortunately i couldn't find any other informations about it, not even whether the bombs were fitted underwings or on the belly(probably).
So, i know you magicians have a lot of other work to do, but this'd really mean a lot to all storch fans Big Grin
