IMHO
Any Aliens I believe are scared of us and that is why we have never seen them before. Sure well they might have Repulsorlift engines and gravity wells etc and Engines powerful enough to possibly boost them to the Speed of Light... But what of there weapons? We have Nuclear Weapons...And alot of Em, And one day for sure...Somebody will build the Anti-Matter bomb...And that isn't fiction, it is a major reality... We can already create Anti-Matter, we just need to put it in a Giant very expensive and powerful field of energy and magnetism so that it doesn't Annihalate Normal Matter.
Well Ima go with you... Maybe it is the Chinese Military floating around in their Repulsorlift airship....Or maybe it is a very expensive Experimental Time Machine Zepplin that has brought Count Zepplin and Einstein together to create it.
Then Why do they come in the first place if they just have to leave again...

I am not impressed .
The chinese just got into space flights recently and the next step will be to put missiles on the Moon.
How far are they from coming up with the same "UFO" anti-gravity aircraft the USA have flying around?
I would say, they are not falling behind one bit. Not one bit. Afterall, chinese had gunpowder and superior
tecnogical machinery in their country ,while everyone in Europe and the rest of the world was still
walking around dressed as cavemen.
Oh well, before they begin trying that, pherhaps they should try making some nukes first...
So aliens aren't being upfront over their visits? Come on people, if you're a three foot tall grey hominoid with enough technology to cross vast interstellar distances and laugh at nuclear weapons, why would you want to meet human beings? That's like asking a baboon out for a date.
Why do we caldrail. The obvious presumption is that Aliens are more technologically advanced than us, but what's to say they aren't? In which case, we will not meet any 'nearby for a while'.
But seriously, why care? Just enjoy life without worrying. If Aliens are like us, meeting them will be our downfall.
The problem with relative levels of technology is that we only have a hazy preconception of what might be possible. Remember all the optimsitic predictions of the twenties and thirties? I still don't own a jet car. Also, as Arthur C Clarke pointed out, technology of a sufficiently high level is indistinguishable from magic. Now assuming there's any truth to this UFO mythos, we have to assume they have a higher level of technology to us simply because they can do stuff we can't. For us, space travel is slow and hugely dangerous. For all our cleverness, we're still setting forth onto a dark sea in a metal equivalent to a cowskin coracle.
There are alternative views of course. Some believe the little grey aliens so often quoted are a future evolution of us, popping back by time machine to do their history and biology homework. Others believe that it's the Antlanteans, our fabled dim distant ancestors, whose lost civilisation still hangs on by a thread in some remote spot.
On the other hand, there are those who spotted that I wasn't being serious in the first place.
I think its the equivalent of coach loads of alien school children on safari to see the earthlings, i bet if we could see through the windows there would be dozens of little green alien school children all holding up their alien i-phones and streaming video back to alien u-tube, inter-galactic facebook is probaly full of photos of school trips to earth showing bewildered earthlings all pointing at the sky with one hand and shielding their eyes with the other, they probaly think thats the natural human stance back on mars. If they get a really good teacher they might even persuade the space ship driver to hang around long enough to see a couple of fighters get scrambled to add to the thrill of the trip.
