Realistic Landing option is working?
#1

Hi,
I doubt whether realistic landing option is correctly working..
I turned off this option, however, why it is too difficult ?
Landing gear is nearly always broken when touch down.
My plane is Bf-109G, and speed is approximately 150~170 km/h when touch down.
(Realistic Landing option is turned off..)
Please help me..

I never fly with it off, if you're breaking landing gear then it's working fine, get better at landing Wink

It would help to see a recorded track but you are probably just touching down too hard.

The point I want to say is that option is not realistic landing.
I guess it was eaiser before updating 2.08m..

O.K.
I tested it and it appears that what the option does is it prevents the propellor from being damaged when it hits the ground. Normally when the prop hits the ground your engine becomes "inoperable". The realistic landing option changes this but it doesn't seem to do much for the landing gear.

I think you're correct.
I see propeller are still operating normally after plump down on the runway..
please make it little bit eaiser...

it isn't matter of making a mod for easy landings.
it is just matter of practice practice practice!

Oh.....
but, it's too hard..
It's really a venture.

I hope there is a ILS option like the modern aircraft..
I think such a option is well because we can't feel bodily sensation in game..

Try reducing your realizm settings, head shake, stalls, etc and slowly work up form there until you get the feel of the A/C. Use the flaps, use the throttle, use the rudder, just like in a real plane you have to kind of know what you're doing. When I first got IL2 years ago I remember I couldn't take an F4u (or any other plane) off from a carrier deck. It was so frustrating that I gave up doing it. I even had problems taking off from a landing strip but slowly I got better. It's what Potenz said, practice, practice, practice!!! I'm sure that EVERYONE that got in this game in the beginning had some of the same problems, this is not like some of the other sims that are more arcade than this. So be patient and just learn to fly (sim) good luck...

Rruger that is, everybody was frustrated by T-off and landings at the begginig, but is just practice, i remember my first attemp to land hehehe hopefully was in this sim and not in real life.
