I mixed sounds for more realistyc plane touch-down sound.

In yours MOD folder make folder "touch_down" and in it make folders

PRESETS put in *.prs file
SAMPLES folder put in *.wav files

enjoy

The download for the 'geartouch.wav' file can't seem to be downloaded. I always get a page load error.

Other files download perfectly.

Same here. Why don't you put this in one .rar file? Instead we have to DL all 4 files individualy.

Hey Grom29,
Just tried these sounds and really like them, THANKS VERY MUCH !!!
Wanted to just let you know that with my modded il-2 the folder structure is that you have the main mod folder " touch_down " and inside this are 2 folders, (1)" presets " and then inside this folder is a " sound " folder which is where the prs. file is put, (2) " samples " and this is where the three wav. files go. Then of course the touch_down mod folder goes into the main mod folder in the game. I also had the original " tyre-screech " mod which I backed up and deleted just to insure there was no conflicts. I believe you can also put a " - " in front of this mod to disable it. Well thanks again,this is great !!!

Grom, i like your mod very much and have disable the tyre screech i had.

I have compiled your files into the proper folder structure and have it here for direct download, i hope you dont mind, but this way its easier for everyone to download+install.

Hey Grom,
Just wanted to clarify evidently a misinterpretation of my previous post. It was by no means a "complaint", I would never and will never complain about anyones mods offered here for I do know this demands time and effort which is donated by ones as yourself to help enhance the immersion factor of this great sim. The previous post was just to advise anyone with the same folder structures as I have that you would need to have a sound folder in the presets folder just as a " FYI" or at least with mine it would not work. I was only trying to help out, so if this was perceived as a "complaint" I am humbly sorry and again as noted in the first post this is a great sound mod ( a keeper for sure. )

RClark; it was you the reason why i could arrange those folders in the right way, and specially you the one who took a couple of minutes to "educate" grom about the right way to upload. So if you felt "touched" by my PS. let me make clear that you actually were the last person i was referring to :wink:

Sometimes i see here that many people has time to complain, and complainings for FREE stuff that others make in order to better their sim experience...sometimes they forget this is not the modders obligation, they dont get paid for it ...so its really annoying the selfilsh/childish attitude some people have.

And again, you were the last person I was referring to.

Hey Chimanov,
I was afraid my first post may have suggested I was upset about the file order or something, a bit paranoid on my part :roll: , thanks so much for clarifying this, and as author John Steinbeck once said "the world is again spinning in greased grooves" .
