I tried to join a server and got an error "Mission loading failed: Landscape 'XXXXXXX/load.ini' loading error". No matter what map I tried to fly I would get the same error just the name of the map would be different. If I tried to load a map in FMB I would get an error of "World.land() error. java.lang.RuntimeException. Landscape 'XXXXXXX/loading error". Does anyone know what causes this error and how it can be fixed. Thanks in advance.

P.S. This happened in 409 mod so I uninstalled and reinstalled the original to a new fresh dir and it still does it on a fresh out of the box standard 4.07 install.

Did you, perhaps by any chance, install ATi's Catalyst 9.1 drivers?

They caused me similar problems, unbelievable but true!

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I rolled back the driver to 8.12 (Vista 32 bit) and all was fine. Amazing.

That 9.1 did me in!

Wow, fortunately I found this thread!

Am having the exact same problem, no map will load no matter what, neither offline nor online, mods on or mods off. What a fubar'ed driver, I dont like ATI at all but as I got a new PC just recently I am stuck with a POS Radeon HD4350 while I'm looking for a new card for my Quad Core rig.

Description: Updated to new catalyst drivers version 9.2 (have 2 x HD3870's in crossfire) and no maps would load in 408/409/mods on/mods off


For info - uninstalled cat 9.2 and re-installed cat 8.11 & issue resolves itself

so it seems that 9.1 and 9.2 are not working... was about to post the same probleme but I found your topic :roll: . I'll wait for 9.3, hope it will work
