Create a new folder where your reticles are for the plane and name it exactly to CR42.

Copy and paste the 109 reticles into that folder. Done!


If you want the MC.200 reticle on your CR42, do the same thing, just copy the other reticle files instead.

After doing a bit of research, it turns out that the CR.42 actually had the same gunsight as the MC.202 hock:

I also tried putting the MC.202 gunsight on the CR.42, and the reticle is larger than the gunsight. Is there any way to make is smaller?

P.S. Can someone PLEASE host these two reticles (Stuvi and MC.205) on another site? ANY other site... I cannot get through stupid Z-Share...

Reticles for CR42, G50, MC-200 & MC-202

There was a problem with the MC-202 reticle.mat file that I corrected on 02/16/09.

If you downloaded the reticle_IT_v3 mod before this date then your MC-202 cockpit will not work. To fix it, either re-download and install reticle_IT_v3 or just copy the reticle.mat file from either the CR42, G50, MC-200_III or MC-200VII folders in the mod and paste it into the MC-202 folder.

Which reticle did the CR42 actually have?

As I've written above, CR.42 had same gunsight and reticle of G.50, MC.200 and other Italian fighters of that time like Re.2000.
In game we have a German Revi, but Oleg & Co. didn't write a Bible and this one is only a little one among of their errors.
BTW, MC.202 had an improved gunsight called San Giorgio tipo B, but reticle remained the same. MC.205V and other Italian Serie 5 fighters had an almost completely new model called tipo C, also with a different reticle.

Finish B-239 uses different folder. This mod affects only british Buffalo Mk.I.

folders :
B-339 -> british Buffalo Mk.I
F2A-1 -> finish B-239

sometimes it was really magic to find correct folder name for certain aircraft...
