View mod - forgot the name
#1

Some time ago I found a mod which gives an ability to look around smoothly (in cockpit). It was called "n-view" or something like that. The problem is that I can't remember a proper name.... and can't find it.
Anybody have it ?

Ithink you search for this: http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/...18&t=26444
because it is the only alternative viewing for mouse 6DOF mod that you use in cockpit.

Works with HAT joystick. It gives a possibility to look around smoothly, not only by moving view to another angle (how it works in il-2)
I think it's "newview" but I'm not sure. I will check it.
Also, this alternative to 6DOF loks cool.

Uzin - do you use this newview mod ?

so you use a joystick like a PS3 or Xbox 360 controller? and this "HAT" is like the digital selection buttons right?

It is NewView but the only problem I have with it is that whenever you press Shift then it looks down so if you are in a hot dogfight or whatever and you have to shift view up to your gunsight then the enemy may pull a roll or someything and you will lose him, and also I have shift set to alot of commands to double up functions etc and so whenever I press shift it looks down and get really annoying, so I disabled it and turns our you don't need two hands on the joystick, alot easier to use mouse.

if you use HAT switches you can alternatively use the Xpadder and set the hat switches (or ANY other buttons for that matter) to act as the mouse movement
it's easy to set up, it'll be worth your while for no-pad-supported games also, simple but extra handy. not to mention to fix that "shift" button bug for IL-2

Yes, I do. For about two years now, used to it. Flyting offline only.
