I think Hanna Reitsch (sp?) was involved in the testing of a manned V1 project. The concept certainly has a historical context.

As a matter of fact, there is one already with the stock V-1.

The stock one should be louder IMHO, these things could be heard over huge distances (28 km was one quote I remember)
