A big loss fps at high altitude with white stripes
#1

hallo community. I have a little problem. In offline mission with big number of planes at high altitude (ex mission fw190 against b17 over berlin) i have a big loss fps probably for the presence of the white air stripes at the bottom of the airplanes. i don't have the problem with big number of planes at low altitude. Solution?Mod for white stripes? Sorry for bad english. My system Quad core 6600 nvidia 8800 ultra res 1280x1024 open gl perfectmode il2 409b1 AA16x ( but with noAA i have same results ) effects 1, refresh on 72hz. Normal fps 70-76, when i see airplanes (at high distance) 10-15 fps. Is normal? Thank's

thank's for interesting. I'm only able to copy and paste. I try to reload il2 with AAA U.I. because i have in this moment a lot of mods installed. By the Way i have the error message (SHift+Tab) and loss fps (great loss) at high altitude and at low altitude in combat situation and with a lot of planes ( + 5/6 planes) and stutter. Sempre al 110%!!!!! Big Grin

I just discovered this same issue today. Did a quick search of previous posts, and this one is exactly the same as I am seeing. I am running a new super rig with i7 950 quad core, 12 gb ram, nivida gtx 295, Vista Ultimate and my normal FPS is around 100 for nearly all conditions. However, when I view high flying contrails my FPS drops down to under 10. Usually around 5 to 7 FPS!! Seems like some sort of defect or something given the radical loss in FPS. I have all the graphics settings at max.

When I look away from the contrails, fps skyrockets to 150+ but when I look back at the planes with contrails, it drops to around 6 or 7! I was flying Biggin Hill Mission 5 (I believe) which was the escort off the Isle of Wight. Its the first high altitude mission where contrails are displayed.

Interested if there is a fix or if other are experiencing this one.
