In last major install I lost the very handy tool to convert screenshots to jpegs.I know where the download is , but I'm having trouble getting it to download ( to be fair it is in russuan...) I did this once but now it defys me...can anyone give me a clue? :?:

Which tool are you trying to download?
I use this: (The link is inoperative)
It isn't specifically designed to convert images but does it automatically when you start it.

I can't say it's better, I've never used any other one but it works fine for me. The installation is easy enough, there is a part where you have to select your game forlder, so it knows where the screenshots are but that is easy. It also allows you to tweak settings that are normally in the conf.ini file. Here is a screenshot:

I think I installed this several years ago & lost it in a computer melt down in the distant past.It doesn't screw up Il-2 Mat Manger 2 or QMT+ does it? :?:

I don't know if it will effect those programs.

I tried downloading the converter that you linked to and it worked fine for me, so I'll explain what I did. When you click the link to the converter you should see this page:



I have circled the link in red in the above picture, click that link and you should get an option to open/save the file (1.44Kb). Save it, extract the contents and you should get a folder called il2_jpeg_screenshots. Inside this folder there is a file called 9782E66223D1856A, copy it and paste it into the "Files" folder in your IL2 folder. I don't know if it will work for you but it worked fine for me.

Many thanks! Download worked fine this time & install into "files " once again got this up & working.Maybe another reader could tell us whether the manager you suggest has any side effects?

james, i've been using IL2 Manager for years now, and it has no side effects that i know of, mate :wink:
