I have seen all kinds of YouTube movies from the game with what appears to be gun camera film. Is there a mod for this?

Actually. juhroen89 is correct. I've been making guncam clips since long before IL2 was first released. I was the one who asked for a No Gunsight, No Cockpit option in order to make realistic GC clips....which I believe Oleg first added in PF....Prior to that, you always had the Gunsight reticle in the Wonder Woman(NoCockpit) mode. Real GC footage does not show the reticle since the guncameras did not film through the Gunsight itself.

In the leading edge of the wings, mostly left wing, for single engined fighters.

Varies from aircraft to aircraft though.
Typhoon for example had the camera in the intake scoop under the prop. So did the Tempest I believe.
