A bunch of skins for A20C
#1

Hi gents,

I made these skins long time ago. They were planed to be the A20C default skins (some of them) for the release of Pacific Fighters (if I remember correctly) - others as bonus. They never made it into the release. Some were published by 1CM in a later patch, but not all.

EDIT: Sorry, it wasn't for PF , I mismatched this with A20G. Indeed it was for the 'Sturmoviks over Mandshuria' Addon, which later went into the '46 package with the others.

I already offered them after the release of PF (no, of '46), so some may know them, but I guess, the most don't.

It features RAF Bostons as well as USAAF Havocs in different theatres and I did also some care for russian land-lease versions in various statuses (fresh from USA or already repainted, different version of red stars markings etc.). Maybe I should have written a readme to them, but I think the informed ones of you will recognise teh differences.
So most skins have historical backgrounds (at least I hope, I made some good research), but some are also rather fantasy (i.e. the USN versions). I know about that, so pls be gentle with me. Wink

Have fun with it! Wink

I really love these!
I don't know about 1C...
1C goes too far. Surely it would not have been difficult for them to include more beautiful skins such as yours, Caspar, but apparently they don't have the eye for good work when they see it.

I don't have any problems with non-historical skins - as long as they are clearly declared to be fictional/ non-historical or whatever. Some skinners don't take this very seriously. Making 100% historical skins is nearly impossible due to the fact, that oftenly we don't have various views of the aircraft or bad quality photographs. Or it is limited by the game (skin mapping). In my opinion making 'historical' skins requires some research efforts.

Your skins are looking well to me.

Best wishes
