I've started to have a strange bug: after launching the game (UI 1.0) my mouse pointer doesn't change to yellow. It stays standard windows pointer... So when I fly some palne in QMB, the ESC button on my keybord doesn't work also...
What may be the problem? I tried to use vers. switcher that comes with UI, but the problem still stays regardless MODDED game or stock one...
Any help is appreciated...

Here's my problem:




everytime I start the game, the mouse cursor doesn't change as before. It stays standard instead of turning into game yellow. So it work in game partially only... I can't fully move my head in the cockpit, just 25% at a time... And the ESC function (as well as ALT+F4) stopped to work...
I tried disabling 6DOF, switching to other mod versions, switching back to stock -- nothing helps...

Any other ideas? But please don't advice to re-install the game... I've lost my nerves enough...:evil:

English: I think the problem is when you start a game, you click on something before it fully loads

If the problem still exists, get out of the game by pressing Windows key, and get back in

PS: once you double click on the game icon, do not press on anything else and let it fully load

Well, that's what I thought before...
I did as you say, but still nothig... Now I have the window cursor even when I fly any plane... And I can't move my view and ESC doesn't work:

I'm not too sure, Mangas, but it could be a problem related to your screen refresh rate. I had a similar problem with another game, and found that the refresh rate kept defaulting to the wrong frequency, which caused the problem. Maybe your problem is similar?
Check your conf.ini, il2setup, and maybe also your nVidia/ATi control panel..???

Just thinking, my iL2 does something similar on startup. What I do is, when in the menu screen, hit ALT+TAB, or the windows key, until iL2 is minimised to the task bar. If you select il2 now, then it is back as normal. Thats what i need to do, anyway... 8)

Are you noticing anny other pecularities? when I deleted my conf.ini to replace it with a backup i forgot to copy in the new conf.ini (basically not having a conf.ini file in the Il2 folder) I got the same result. I can't remember the other problems it caused - needless to say they were many! possibly a problem with the config file or something? hopefully you have a backup?

But when U start your game and it starts to load, your mouse cursor is locked, but mine is NOT. Never... So my mouse work in game partially only...
Everything was O.K. this morning when I worked over new Yak-9 cockpit. But suddeenly it freezed so I had to make a restart. After the restart the strange problem occured... I tried to make another restart (just in case) -- didn't help...

P.S.: 2 fly_zo, sorry if I violated the rule and started discussion in the wrong place... I didn't mean anything wrong...

I had this problem twice. Probably that was something like GUI mod. Chek ur last installed ones.

I doubt that, cause the problem persist after revering back to stock game (no any mods)...

Something to maybe check for your escape key not working would be in your config under>

[HotKey gui]
Escape=activate

This line needs to be in config to end missions, For some reason, this line very often disappears when patching is done.

Thanks to all of you (and especially EasyRider)! The problem solved... It was smth. wrong with the conf.ini... Now everything works like a charm! BACKUP is a salvation! :lol:

My config file is fine but I get problem everytime I start the game. If the task bar stays at the bottom of the screen the keyboard and mouse don't work so I can't quit out the movie intro, I have to CTRL ALT DEL and end the IL-2 process. If I then immediately restart the game it works fine.

I'm running in 1600x1200 at 70hz. This may be the problem but I have found that is the only resolution that actually fills my screen and doesn't give me a deformed letterbox view.

Unless anyone know how to force 1248x1024 res that I run my desktop at?

I run all my other game at this resolution (at 75hz)

If you don't want to run the movie all the time, under the [game] -header, place a "0" behind "intro=" :

Instead of quiting and restarting the game, try ALT+ESC (instant back to desktop) and then clicking IL2 in the taskbar.
