as i had several people asking about my new DCG "Atolls" campaign using the fairly new "Atolls" mod map by Spain and Belgium... i've uploaded it to my personal Combat Arms Squad site for now. this is only a temporary upload, until i can figure out where the campaign really ought to be for final, long standing placement. my site is a FreeForums site and so i cannot say how much downloading bandwidth they will allow...should be unlimited, or so they say...but you know how FREE stuff goes, eh? anyway, i hope to have a more permanent home for Atolls shortly and will update this thread at that time.
things you will need:
IL21946 fully patched to last 4.09 version.
AAA UI 1.1 or higher.
DCG 3.39 or 3.40 or higher.
Atolls map by Spain and Belgium..available right here on the AAA site.
and this South West Pacific "Atolls" Campaign file, naturally:

Note: Something i forgot to put in the README.txt...this campaign is setup to play as a "daily" grind combat effort so DCG should be set on NORMAL time which is a mission taking place every day. certainly you can fly in on faster time settings...but if you do...you'll miss out on many IMPORTANT events taking place in the combat zones. just set it (DCG) to normal time and you'll not miss those events. it should take roughly thirty days or so to complete...though with DCG you can never call it exactly (could be more or less.) sorry for the oversight in the README.
the campaign works completely as a regular DCG third-party campaign. read the included README.tx for more information. it is actually intended to specifically be a semi-fictional US Army Air Force campaign, though i have also included files that will allow you to fly as a US Navy carrier pilot and also a RAAF P-40M pilot---just for added flavor. again, read the readme for more info.
this is a "for fun" could-have-happened campaign...not to be taken serious other than similar incidents surely "did" occur in the war at isolated and nearly forgotten posts and stations...also the planes and units are historical as are the nearby "mentioned" locations and squadron stations. there are MANY aircraft, naval units, ground based forces at play during this campaign---it is a real fight to the finish by all elements concerned, and i hope it will be exciting to everyone that tries it. as in real life, the "suddenly" attacked Allied units are caught offguard and outnumbered...intense air, sea and ground conflict takes place and there are many opportunities for scoring victories...but as the battle grinds on and the massive Allied supply chain funnels more and more precious supplies and men into the area, whereas the Japanese cannot...the Japanese grow weaker and weaker, and chances for kills become less and less frequent. though right up until the final battle the enemy never quits and if not careful you can quickly and easily end up on the "wrong" end of a Zero!
a lot of testing went into this campaign and i think i worked out all of the kinks, but there are and were limitations caused by both IL2 AND DCG... both have bugs on occasion. i can't do much about that...but if you find an obvious mistake that "i" made, let me know and i'll try to fix it and upgrade the whole she-bang.
there is also (soon coming) a Japanese version of this campaign...and a US Navy Night Figher version for you fly-in-the-dark chaps! will post up asap.
constructive comments about Atolls and suggestions/ideas (for the next campaign) appreciated.
thanks for your interest.
Salute!
