the program keeps crashing to desktop while loading at 5%..i read other topics in which this occurs, and tried the suggestions but to no effect.i did a fresh install of 1946,then patched to 4.08m.after that, i installed UI 1.1. sound sample is set to 44100,the downloaded files containing UI seem in order ( i get no error from them whatsoever).i also tried all the possible version configurations with the batch files,but the effect is always the same..this things making me crazy
ok, i am a perfect idiot..after the 1946 install i was updating with the 4.08 SERVER patch, not the normal client one..so, i downloaded the correct one and installed over the mess i did before.then installed UI 1.1 again and voila,it works.i don't think there is someone as imbecile as me,but if by chance someone is getting the same problem i hope this will help somehow..and excuse me for the time waste reading this topic..bye 2all :oops: :oops:
I did a fresh install, then the UI 1.1 and I am crashing at 5% . Saw someone was also having this problem. Where would I get the "normal" client patch.
Had PF+IL2 a few years ago, but had other interest and did not load it on my "new" computer. Just bought the 1946+PF+IL2 and I am hooked again. Love the game and from what I have read, will like this MOD
Guess I am a born again newbie trying to get back up to speed
Until someone posts a "how to" for me, I will muddle around the net for a fix
