I recently had to reinstall windows completely... and I reinstalled IL-2..

I CHANGED NOTHING, and now IL-2 will not let me have my resolution anymore!!! Cry Cry

I tried changing it manually in the config but then the game will not open!! Cry Cry

What is going on? why Can't I set it higher than 1280 x 960 ????

Problem solved.... apperantly my computer was being retarded.. you guys will love this story...

I randomly changed some number in my conf.ini file and all of the sudden, my high res was now available again....

I go back to conf file to double check.. and the high res is still there, but the numbers I changed are now back to normal :lol:

Computer retardation? lol

Problem solved.

Don't know if it helps but here's my settings to see if any things different.

Code:
[window]
width=1280
height=1024
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

I don't know why it would be doing what its doing, only thing that would stop it running in that res is the graphic drivers or the monitor its self.

Ok, i figured out the REAL problem this time... my Nvidia drivers didn't support multi-res games until I had to manually activate support for certain resolutions... weird because i never had to do that before

Thanks everyone for your input!
