i tried installing the P24 last night, but now when i try to launch il2, it quits at 60% loading. i went through and deleted every file that had to do with the P24, but the game still crashes. please help!

I had the same problem..Deactivate the mod with "-" in front of the name, then delete all P24 entries from air.ini, weapons ru propertie and plane properties (if I remember well)

Alos deactivate te the Soundmod . I think you for got about that
Make sure the STD folder is in the MOD folder, not in the main IL-2 1946 directory..
I did that and it worked...

Next time backup your buttons file (files/gui/game/).All you need to do is deactivate the mode,remove air.ini entries and use your backup buttons...
