VIEWS BUG
#1

Next Friendly View (SHIFT F2), and Next Enemy View(CTRL F2) not working when the game is modded 4.08 MOD or 4.09 MOD, but the Views work in the game in 4.08, and 4.09 unmodded. Is this common or is it a bug? Any help will be appreciated.

I haven't heard of anyone else with this problem, and I haven't seen it either. It might be worth checking your difficulty settings, I cant imagine why it would change between versions but is the only thing I can thing of.

Thanks for the information, checked my diffcult settings, seems I narrowed it down to flying the ME 410B, I am flying War Clouds TOH, they are testing MODS , when I pilot the 410b I review the copied file, I get the plane, any other plane in view, but I cant move from enemy or friendly plane with the keys shift F2, AND Crtl F2. Must be the new plane slot .

I found out, another person was having the same problem, server was the same, files copy from sorties, would not let you get next friendly, and next enemy view, so it a bug, or a restriction placed on the server.

I am having this view problem as well when viewing tracks. Switching key mappings for Next Friendly View and Next Enemy View does not remedy the problem. The problem is confined to tracks recorded on online dedicated servers. The problem is not confined to one particular aircraft. The problem appears to be confined to online servers that are cockpit only but also allow external views on the ground via a server setting. Tracks recorded in QMB do not have this problem. I am wondering if it is related to the ability to view the plane on the ground while taxiing.

I noticed this recently when viewing online tracks, same as Tanner. Half the time, Next Friendly and Next Enemy don't work, even though I have them enabled. Other external views work fine. But if I restart the game, they will work.

Hi guys. The server side setting which allows you to only have externals on the ground is part of the bomb bay doors mod (strangely) it does cause problems when viewing tracks filmed using that modification. Luckily if you disable the bomb bay doors mod you will gain control over the views on tracks.

That wasn't very well explained... oh well, it late and I'm sure you get the general idea Wink
