Risks and no warranties are par for the course with mods, I'm well aware of that. So, what do you think I should do? It doesn't work - all I'm asking is for some help to get it to work. If that's asking too much, well hell....maybe I should just shut up and go away? hock:

I am not able to help you because I use only russian NewView pgm for joystick hat instead of 6DOF. I am sorry. Please, be patient , don't let yourself to disturb by anybody. Thumbs up!

but your right the response on a question is often very poor but i don't think their is faul play at hand here.

the main reason i think is....

1. once you post a question there are immiadiatly 10 new post with questions after yours so admins or other people tend to miss it quickly i think.

2. people dont read your question not very well then you have an aswer but nothing helpfull.

3. everybody who aswers questions is doing that as favor to others. It's not a job that pays so answering a question is not obligate not even for admins.

So my conclusions is after asking many questions myself with also no answer maybe their should be anothor structure in the site so that questions don't get snowed under. i only have no clue if that is possible.

I also would like to say to everyone who visit this site lets all help each other where and where ever we can. And keep the everything open for discussion (even the non speakable ones) that prevent all kinda rumors and what ever subject.

Thanks Rowddy - I agree, the community does help each other as they can...I like to help as much as possible, myself. I don't think that I've been overly demanding in my request for help - maybe the timing's bad, everyone's having a holiday - I don't know. :roll:
I'd be pretty shocked, though, if no-one from the AAA team can even provide a clue, other than telling me repeatedly to follow the right install sequence. I may not be the brightest spark, but I'm also no fool... :wink: The install process is pretty straight-forward. I've been installing and re-installing mod versions for over a year now, and have never had any of these issues.
Anyway, Monguse is going to try and help me later today, so I'll quit blocking up the air-waves with too many posts.
A thread that covers install issues from scratch would probably be appreciated by many.

I don't know if this is any help, but if you are using Windows XP, what version of Micro$oft .net are you using? You need a least version 2.0. I too have not been able to find the EAX files. The only mention of it I can find is in the il2setup config.ini file under the main install page. I could have sworn I read something that said you have to choose on or off in the game setup. I'm trying to find the thread, I could be wrong though. Here is a copy of what mine says:

and frankly am dissapointed by this fact.
I understand if posters, coming round for the first time get no answer for their question :"How do I install...", but you being a "senior" member with quite a specific problem getting no response by the "staff" at all... well that sux, to be polite...

I must admit I might have got a bit worked up over it, maybe having my weekend start with a HD failure had something to do with that... :roll:
