I've just completed the DPRK stuff for the Korea Map and sent it back to Dixiecapt for chop. There are some things that will need work, but it's flyable in a beta form. The Skyraider will add much to the Korea Map!

Salute ALL hi ;-)

To ALL!, You are going to get the Skyraider even sooner then I had expected,
BUT!, its going to start its life as a Frankin-Plane and will be piggybacked on one
Of the Corsairs to get the use of the folding wings and tail hook, the cockpit will
Also start out as the Corsairs, you will also get one skin to start with of my choice,
Have your fun painting it how you like, when we have out OOF WW1 mod then
I will turn my attention back to the Skyraider to finish it fully and others I have posted.

I was going to suggest a "default" skin but you beat me to it! Oh well what the heck - I'll suggest a skin anyway (if you don't go for it, I'll skin it later)! Korean Skyraiders were all Navy - the Air Force getting theirs in time for Vietnam; so a good Navy skin would be VA-176.

Preferably a skin from the Korean War era.

Sorry, but can't imagine how you can create a Skyraider departing from a F4 Corsair, simply can't

Have faith 8) I wonder if DM simply means that it will take up a corsair slot, rather than a 'traditional' franken made up from a mishmash of different models...looking at the opening pic a lot work has already been done, and fast as DM works (are you actually human?!) it seems a bit quick to devise and construct a fresh franken. But hey ho, maybe I'm wrong Smile

To ALL!, screwball is right! Its just going to take the slot of one of the Corsairs
And will use its FM and you will see Corsairs cockpit, but the outside look will
Be all Skyraider. This is only so you can have it that much quicker, when am able
To get back to this plane then it will get its own slot, FM and cockpit, as am working
On it now!

We are greatfull, of course but,
is it possible to make it in it's own slot, though still with the Corsair FM?
Please...

The solution is easy DM. Put it in the F4U-1C slot for now, until you can work on it full time. The AD had 4x20mm cannon in the wings, and most of the -4 Corsairs in Korea were equipped with the standard 6x.50 cal machine guns. Thank you for your work on this. The AD, along with Flakiten's F9F Panther will make for a great Korean war scenario from the US Navy's point of view.

Wow, nice idea, of course a new slot ( using the F4 FM ) will be a lot better, but you have the command here
