I like my .50's.

Although Oleg has approved the release, and even though these MODS were available on the net for over a year, AAA is against it.

Bookmark my site for MODS, if you like the MODS. I really don't care if AAA is against it or not.

I believe in MODS of all sorts.

NOTE: SERVERS can BLOCK your game if you have the armament files. Some servers allow them.

Can you explain what you mean by "Oleg approved them"? AFAIK Oleg has not approved ANY mod...

Il-2 already don't bring us any profit, that may cover even part of new development. And we are totally busy with BoB only.

In BoB we plan to release complex colored exhaust depending of engine mode and even altitude.

I am writing you to ask your view, and permission to release the Armament Files for IL2.

The reasons being:
1) The simulation is becoming outdated.
2) Online Servers can block MODIFIED IL-2 gamers.
3) Hyperlobby has Servers for both MODS and NON-MODS.
4) Modified Games tend to last longer in the flight sim community, and could bring you extended moneys due to a longer lifespan of the simulation.
5) Gamers appreciate your work on IL-2 with MODS, as they appreciate the flexibility you built into the sim.

As I stated before, the Armament Files were sent to me for evaluation. I was one of the last MODDERS to receive them. I will not release these files without your expressed consent.

Your thoughts?

Grail - Oleg is an honest man, worthy of our respect. In regards to the tracer/smokers, they came from AAA hacked. I don't have the program needed to hack IL2. I can only modify or remake a mod that someone else hacked.

Besides, IL2 will die slowly over the next few years. The BOB engine will extend well into the future.

If anyone wants a mod, (within my means), I would take a look to see if I can make one. (A smoking trail for example). There are other people with lots of talent, like HolyGrail for example, that make mods also.

The smoking trails I recently made was in response to a posting I read regarding Smoking trails request.
