Well, I tried to make new aircraft and failed miserably. I just don't have the time or patience to learn right now. So, I thought I would ask for a simple but interesting mod. The YB-40 was a heavily armed and modded B-17F to be used as an escort as the P-38's and P-47's of '43 didn't have the range. It was later found out to be too slow when fully loaded down with guns and armor to be effective as an escort but it was successfully used in Italy to trick and down an ANR pilot using a captured and USAAF marked P-38 to attack wounded bombers. The same concept was tried with both the B-24 and B-29 but this is the one that made it the most far actually seeing live combat on several missions. If you look closely at the pics, you'll notice there aren't crew members on board except for the pilot & co-pilot. Only a scale model could get away with this. However, they are nice shots of what it would look like in color.

Haven't I seen that additional 2x .50 back turret on another plane ? It almost looks like a Boulton turret of some sort...
