Is it just me or would proper coastal defense guns, mortars, more machine guns etc. be an amazing little perk up for the artillery slot in FMB?

Ive had a post on this allready and yes alot of people seemd to want it in the game but its a problem when no modders or people that has the skill to make those things dont bother to make them.

If made the guns and so should be as the flak and AAA where you can set attack range. this due to maps being in different scale.
You wouldnt have a cannon shooting across the whole map would you.

The guns are almost really done as they are allready on the ships and could be taken right of them and put in the game.
Alot of the coastal guns where infact ship guns taken from damaged or not buildt ships and used to protect the coast instead.
These guns could accually shoot further when placed on land then when mounted on the boats due to larger charges.

One in norway as an example had a range around 40000 meters and was intended used on the new german battleships, but these where never buildt.
Some of the same guns where used at the english channel by the germans and had great sucsess against english shiping in and around Dovere.

One possible work around for this is to place a stationary ship on the coustline (they can be placed on land) and build a bunker complex around it using bridges and other FMB objects. The guns will still fire so long as you dont block them directly.

thats true but looks ugly and not real at all. pluss you get loads of other guns on it you dont want at all.
An other bad thing with that solution is the large polycount you get by having the whole ship hided away like that, and you soon have a FPS issue.

And for the larger ships there are no coastal objects that are able to cover the ship so masts and other stuff stick up all over..
