Thank you very much Vincent for the article, some nice artwork there, not sure how to go about translating it yet though because they are image files and I can't find a way yet to paste the text into a translater, I'll work on it though, should be a facinating read.
The following are images of the oppositions aircraft that will appear in the Vichy campaign.
I have found two images to use for the KI-27, this one of the 64th Sentai is by Graf.
The KI-48 isn't available in the sim so the KI-21-II takes its place.
This is the second KI-27 skin, I don't know who the author is as I found it in my PaintSchemes folder, if anyone has any idea could they let me know please. This depicts the actual unit confronted by the French, the 84 Dokoritsu Hiko Fell, I believe this was part of the 64th Sentai, although I'm not well up on the Japanese order of battle so please correct me if I'm wrong on this.
This skin for the KI-57 Topsy is by Archie.
The airfield I made to for the opposition, the files for the skinmod already in place as you can observe by the static aircraft.
Same airfield, other side.
The advanced base from where the Japanese launch the assault on Lang. I've mainly used tents, this is a shot later in the campaign so they have been reduced as the force has left. In the French article that describes the base, buildings are mentioned, not quite sure what type of buildings so I just used the shelters illustrated here. It would seem unlikely that the buildings would have been substantial in nature due to the fact this was a temporary base, but who knows? I have the Topsy's landing here during the first missions to stock up the supplies.
The first four missions of the Vichy/Japanese encounter are done including the briefings, just two more completes that part of this campaign. I will then move on to add briefings to the crossed over Thai campaign files which have been adapted to fly from the French side.
Wishing you all a very Prosperous and Happy New Year, Pete.
