I was thinking about having that in il2 a lil while ago.

Maybe a single mission for both sides, and a candy bombing side objective for the US. Smile

Yeah i had this though before myself and actually started working on it. I had the idea of an allied versus soviets post WWII. I was going to start with the Berlin Airlift and work from there. I never actually made any missions thoughSmile

But i did start on a template on the berlin map with some civilian and military activity

The Airlift would certainly be interesting, although to do it properly you'd need a fair few transport aircraft not (heavily) involved in WWII... so while I'd like to see it, I'd prefer the wartime/'46 alternate history aircraft to come first.

But we cant have soviets vs. yankees or british, they're all red in FMB...

I was planning on using japan as my blue side with markings off and russian skins applied. The problem lies with static AC. But i think theres probably a mod here to skin static aircraft.

Wasn't a mod released which addressed this by adding an extra US side to blue?

Yeah. The Forgotten Countries mod added heaps of different countries as well as a Blue Rusian and
Blue America, Britain etc
