Bf109 without head armour
#1

Hi,

I've just downloaded the mod for no head armour for the Bf109E1b, where do I install it to ? Mods folder???

Also will this mod work for the Bf109E3 as well, as I notice from reference photos alot of early E3's don't have any head armour installed at all.

Will Maus make a new slot for" with head armor" and "without" I wonder, hopefully?

Also, The new update for the Bf109E3 V2 that shows a cannon barrell coming out of the spinner . I have tried to disable this in the loadout panel but can't. Have I missed something in the download to stop the barrell showing up when I select no mounted engine cannon? It is a great addition but when I deselect the cannon I don't want to see it protruding from the spinner when I select F2 to look at my plane.

Any help , thanks

Install to this folder.

\MODS\Bf-109E-Bseries\3DO\Cockpit\

Please add "-" to a normal Bf-109E-1B folder beforehand.

Hi,

Thanks for the help. Just out of curiosity will this file work for the E3 and E1, both have no head armour. If I rename the file and install as you described above.
They all work with basically the same cockpit so will that work???

I think that I dont have any problem.
However, seeing from the outside, E-3B thinks that an armorplate is arriving.

Worked for the E3 but not for the E1, the file structure seemed to be set out differently on the E1 download and I could'nt work out where to put the file.

Cheers

E1 still uses the defualt E4 cockpit, I think. If you put it in there though, you'll bugger up your E-fours... Cry

Thanks.

I'll leave well alone, sounds like Mause maybe working on a new early model internal canopy frame for the 109's going by his post for internal drawings and photos so hopefully that will come along soon ? Maybe he can jazz up Freddy's 109 cockpits while he's at it, Freddys are great but not quite as crisp as some of the Russian aircraft cockpits as far as detail goes...Mangas's Yaks and Lagg's etc.

Thanks for the help and happy modding.
