Hello i have the same problem by loosing sound of some planes like F4F,B-25,A-20,Mustang and more
I also saw that many people have the same problem so i decide to found the problem so here is the
solution i think (it works for me 100%)
ok so I'll be first to admit that I know nothing of sfs or anything.. but I was able to replace some .wav files in the il2 1946 "samples" folders. and I got the damaged sounds fixed again. I have played with a couple sets of sounds, and these are what I found are most accurate, it contains jaffas sound mod and more that i managed to fix by my self.Also fix the sound in cocpit now i think has the
correct volume.

1. copy and back up those files, in case you wish to change back to them.

2. open il2 1946 folder, find "files" folder and replace it with "files" folder of the .zip file.

3. copy and replace them with new files I made, enjoy hope it works for all of you.


I have upload them in rapidshare all other uploads are welcome,pm to add them on the threat.

NOTE :both 3 files need it to unzip
NOTE :I use Ver 9.3 Download > ENG_Sound_mod_Version_093.exe in other versions might crash.

Yes a link to another site would be good. Rapidshare seems to have decreased the amount of downloads to one every so often for free users. You have to sign up if you want to download more than once. You get a "your limit has been reached" message. I have had to wait anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour between downloads.

Hi tried it out but it doesn't work on my config. On Startup I am stuck at 5%. Moreover, those files seem to be the same between part1 and part 2? Trying to copy them ended up with a message that some files were corrupt...

yes I try to found what engine all these planes has on so i managed to find the correct sound files
from the original il2 install and combine them with jaffas sound mod.Jaffas sound mod combine with some other sound mods i think that cause that problems,i try all sounds one by one i have all the time a clear file of worked sounds and tested them sepertly and managed to get them worked fine.So when you install a new file always backup your il2 folder .

Just chek it stuka and all dives sounds works fine.

No Luck...combined those files but it makes my game crash at 5%. doesn't work on a 1.1 UI version...pity I would have luved to hear those sounds :?
